A shared landscape of women’s stories, a gallery alive with colour, texture, and the many ways women choose to be seen.
Windows to Us brings together decorated paper and fabric panels created by women of all ages and backgrounds as part of Southlands Arts Centre’s celebrations for International Women’s Day 2026. Each panel began as a blank sheet — A4, half, or quarter — and has been transformed through drawing, painting, collage, stitching, textiles, poetry, photography, cultural symbols, and countless personal touches.
These works form a vibrant wall of expression: a patchwork of perspectives, a chorus of creativity, and a shared celebration of identity, diversity, and connection.
Every panel is a window into a life.
Every contribution adds to the collective artwork.
Together, they create a space where women’s voices are visible, valued, and beautifully varied.
Whether you took part, supported someone who did, or simply want to experience the power of community art, this exhibition invites you to pause, look closely, and feel the richness of what happens when women create together.
