What is Meet the Maker?
Meet the Maker is where art & craft fair meets maker fair — a chance to get up close with the talented people behind the creations they make. Whether you’re a fellow maker, a collector, or simply curious, there’s something here for everyone. Browse stalls brimming with handmade goods and strike up a conversation with the people who made them. From artists and illustrators to wood turners, painters, potters, crocheters, knitters and more — you’ll find an incredible range of skill and creativity all under one roof. But Meet the Maker isn’t just about browsing. Throughout the event, our makers run live demonstrations and hands-on workshops, giving you the chance to learn something new and get a real feel for the craft behind the creations. It’s one thing to admire a piece of work — it’s another to watch it being made right in front of you. Whether you’re a maker looking to share your work with an appreciative audience, or a visitor looking for something a bit different this April, we’d love to see you there. Book a table if you’d like to exhibit, or pop the dates in your calendar and come along for a browse. Meet the Maker is a celebration of makers and crafters, and we can’t wait to welcome you. Booking is Now Open
We’ve streamlined the booking process for Meet the Maker, making it easier than ever to secure your table. Simply choose the date that works best for you when you add a table to your basket, fill in the necessary details, and you’re all set — no back-and-forth emails, no waiting for confirmation. With a limited number of tables available each day across the three-day event, spaces tend to go fast. We’ve already had early interest, so if you’ve got your eye on a particular date, we’d recommend booking sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. Whether you’re a returning exhibitor or joining us for the first time, we’ve made the process as straightforward as possible so you can focus on what matters — preparing your stall and sharing your craft with the community.Reserve your stall today
Meet the Maker Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Meet the Maker in April will be open from 12 pm – 5 pm
Please do not leave your products unattended. Southlands will not be responsible for any loss or damage of items.
You will provide your own crafting supplies and display items. Please ensure you tidy up everything by 17:00.
Your deposit of £10 is refundable up to 48 hours prior to the event. Cancellations made after this time will not be refunded.
Southlands will receive 15% commission on any sales made. Commission will be calculated at the end of each day and you are required to pay commission owed within 30 days.
£10 fee per day of attendance. Cash or card payment is accepted.
If you are happy to be featured online, please share photo/s videos of yourself and/or your craft for marketing purposes. We will be sharing these on our Instagram and website.

We welcome you to share our space for only £10 per day (per stall) plus 15% commission towards Southlands Arts Centre.
Join us as we craft and display our work throughout the week. We encourage visitors to come and experience the creative process and meet the makers & artists (you)!
This will be an excellent opportunity to connect with your community and gain exposure. You are welcome to sell any pieces you have made prior to or during the event.
On site, we have beautiful gardens, a delicious café and many friendly faces to keep you inspired.
Limited spaces are available, so first come, first served!
Our April Meet the Maker spaces are now open, and we've made booking even simpler. You can now reserve your table and fill in all your details in one easy step — just select your preferred date, complete the form, and you're done.
If you're a local creator, crafter or maker, we'd love to have you. Please note that your stall is not confirmed until payment has been received in full.
Spaces are limited, and some dates may sell out quickly. If your preferred date is fully booked, just let us know and we'll add you to the waiting list in case any stalls become available.
