About our membership

Southlands Arts Centre is a stunning Queen Anne, Grade II listed building set within beautiful grounds in the heart of the community. Since the 1960s, it has been a vibrant home for the arts—nurturing creativity across fine art, music, photography, film, and crafts.

We host exhibitions throughout the year, welcoming talented local artists and showcasing work that inspires. The Centre is also home to The Art Exhibition, The West London Photo Exhibition, LitOct, and the much-loved SouthlandsLIVE festival.

Behind it all is Yiewsley and West Drayton Arts Council, a registered charity (No. 1173801) committed to encouraging the arts in our area. While the building is owned by the London Borough of Hillingdon, we’ve long benefitted from a peppercorn lease. However, the council now intends to significantly increase our rent, creating an urgent need for additional funding.

To meet this challenge—and secure the future of our vibrant arts community—we’re launching the Southlands Members & Friends Scheme.
