Welcome to Southlands LitOct 2026, Hillingdon’s literary festival returning to the Southlands Arts Centre! This year’s festival is a celebration of literature, creativity, and community — bringing together writers, readers, and neighbours for a month of storytelling. Below you’ll find the full schedule of events that make up this year’s LitOct.
We’ve designed a £25 event pass that will give you access to all events (except Writing through lifes turning points and Linocut), to make sure you don’t miss any of the action. The event pass also includes a LitOct goody bag.
LitOct Events
We launch on Saturday, 3rd October 2026 with the prize giving for the Southlands Creative Writing Competition with readings of the winning entries; prizes are being presented.

Please note that all events require advance booking. This helps us ensure we have the right setup and can accommodate everyone comfortably. Booking is on a first-come, first-served basis, so get in there quickly to reserve your spot.
