Make a Celtic knitted bracelet!
This Celtic knitting technique is adapted from the Celts who used it to make chain mail which was worn under the battle armour. Using the end of a wooden spoon, silver plated wire is woven and coloured beads of your choice added to make a bracelet or necklace. The technique can also be used to make earrings, rings and a multitude of craft items.
This workshop is led by June Kerr. Originally from Scotland, June has lived in the Berkshire area for over 30 years and has always had keen interest in arts and crafts. Her time spent in her small studio in Windsor making jewellery is her happy place.
Participants will take home a finished product which is predominantly a bracelet but could also be a necklace or earrings. The skills learned will enable participants to continue using the technique at home to make further products. June will also have kits with all the equipment available to purchase.
This workshop needs a minimum of four participants to run.
The ticket price includes all materials required: silver plated wire in silver gold or rose gold, a plethora of multicoloured beads and matching lobster clasp to close.
