Caroline Lamond comes to Southlands to talk about her books, the women that inspired them, writing about real people, her background, and getting an agent and a publishing deal. She’ll treat us to a reading from a reading from the books and will take questions from the audience.
Well Behaved Women is Caroline’s first historical fiction novel, based on the real life of silent movie star, Alla Nazimova. The Socialites, inspired by the lives of Vivien Leigh, Maureen O’Sullivan and Sonia Orwell, will be published by HarperCollins in September 2024.
