Join us for a nostalgic garden picnic!
Southlands is hosting a VE Day Picnic to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on Bank Holiday Monday, 5th May.
Important note: To get into the spirit, we encourage you to wear red, white and blue, military dress, or 1940s style attire. Or get creative and make a headdress, crown, or celebration hat to wear on the day.
Activities include:
- Enjoy a wartime sing-along.
- Organized children’s games.
- Respectful story time featuring “The Lion and the Unicorn” and “Peace Lily.”
- Bring your own picnic, or pre-order sandwiches, cakes, and scones from our café.
We look forward to celebrating with you!

Tickets: £1 per adult, children are free.
