Author Amelia Kyazze comes to Southlands to talk about her book The Cafe on Manor Lane.
After delighting the audience with a reading, Amelia will tell us about the inspiration behind the book: this beautiful and sometimes difficult city we live in, London, and how the story is based on some of her own experiences in immigrating to the UK and marrying a man who grew up in West Africa, as well as other stories of immigrants coming to London in times of huge social change.
