Painting on iPads with the Classics for Mental Wellbeing

12 May @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

£10

Our friends from Digital Canvas are offering a digital painting class studying famous paintings: Munch’s The Scream, Van Gogh’s Cafe Terrace At Night, and Monet’s Woman with a Parasol.

During this class, participants will each be given an iPad and an Apple pen with a pre-made sketch ready that they can colour in if they wish before painting and a quick demonstration.

This is ideal for people who have some painting knowledge but have never tried digital art before. This event would also be accessible to everyone with any skill and would offer a relaxing painting experience.

Depending on working speed, a 2-hour lesson might provide time to work on two of the three paintings. We will also demonstrate how to use the iPad’s black and white mode to pick random colours for anyone who would like to take home a colourful twist on their chosen painting.

This event is part of our Mental Health Awareness Week at Southlands Arts Centre. Join us to spread the kindness and the importance of mental well-being.
