This one-day workshop will be led by Jayne Towndrow.
Jayne discovered gel plate printing in the second year of Covid. When restrictions were relaxed a bit, she travelled to a workshop in deepest, darkest Hampshire to learn the process. Acrylic paint is applied to the surface of the gel plate, rolling it as desired and then cover the plate with copy paper and smooth gently with the flat of the hand. The magic is that the paint comes away from the gel plate and onto the paper. Jayne was immediately hooked and has since spent hour after wonderful hour applying colour, creating random pattern or masking the plate with shapes and botanicals.
If you don’t like bright blasts of beautiful colour then gel printing may not be for you but if you do, book your place without delay.
